And, here is where those two fish were hiding. This was evening fishing and almost dark although the photo doesn't show it.
This area holds some impressive fish. Large trout and even larger carp....I saw them jumping during their mating dance.
Generally speaking we get rainbows in Bald Eagle, at least where we fish. That's not bad cause the fish are healthy and they fight like crazy. Are there browns…
Same fish...different angle.
As evidenced by the foggy picture and the wet rain gear, I did a good bit of fishing in the rain on Spring Creek. I'm not complaining though. The fish were…
The last fish was in this area. The drops on the water are the only indication of the rain but it was pouring.
Cloudy and overcast for most of the trip...a BWO kind of time.
Plenty of water though. I just wish a creek like this was closer to home.
Not all the fish in Spring were large. That's a good thing. I simply means the fish are reproducing well. This was a little 7 incher and I was happy to have…
Other fish are more like this one. A nice (almost) 14 incher.
And yes, all of those past fish came from this one run. I found that most every run I fished held just as many fish.
Caught this one at the wall. A location we fished just because.
And another from the same location. The fish weren't easy here....heck they weren't easy anywhere (this is Spring Creek by the way) but they were fun when they…
Those fish came from this section. Long casts and plenty of time for the fish to examine your offering made for a bunch of missed strikes.
Hummm....took this pic because its a cool place on Spring Creek. I did get one and lost another under this bridge.
More Spring Creek Browns. Twelve inchers in fast current were everything my 6x tippet could handle.
I checked every fish I caught closely, looking for the flies that I broke off.
Mikes net...my fish. It's nice to have friends along to help land or two.
This is how this trip started....a smallie. We fished a "Keystone Select" area on Bald Eagle. Lets just say I was not impressed.
